IVF Treatment
IVF, or in vitro fertilisation, is a fertility treatment where eggs and sperm are brought together outside the body in a lab. Once an embryo develops, it is transferred into the uterus.
An IVF treatment doctor may recommend IVF in cases of blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, severe endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, unexplained infertility, or when other treatments have not worked.
IUI Treatment
IUI, or intrauterine insemination, is a simpler fertility treatment where prepared sperm is placed directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation. An IUI specialist doctor may suggest IUI for mild male infertility, ovulation problems, or unexplained infertility in selected cases.
ICSI Treatment
ICSI is often used when there are male infertility concerns such as low sperm count, poor sperm movement, or poor sperm quality. In this procedure, a single sperm is selected and injected into an egg in the lab.
An ICSI specialist doctor may recommend this treatment when sperm-related factors are affecting fertilisation.
Ovulation Induction
Ovulation induction may be advised when a woman is not ovulating regularly. It involves medicines that help the ovaries release eggs at the right time. This may be suggested for women with PCOS, irregular periods, or mild ovulation-related infertility.
Fertility Preservation
Fertility preservation is helpful for people who want to delay pregnancy or need to preserve fertility before medical treatment. Options may include egg freezing, embryo freezing, or sperm freezing.
An egg freezing specialist doctor can guide women who want to preserve their eggs due to age, career planning, medical conditions, or personal reasons.
Donor Egg IVF and Donor Sperm IVF
In some cases, donor egg IVF or donor sperm IVF may be considered when egg quality, sperm quality, or other fertility factors make natural conception or standard IVF difficult. These options are suggested only after detailed counselling, medical evaluation, and consent.
Blastocyst Transfer
Blastocyst transfer is an advanced embryo transfer method where the embryo is allowed to develop for a few days in the lab before being transferred into the uterus. Your fertility specialist may suggest this depending on embryo development, previous IVF history, and overall treatment plan.
Recurrent IVF Failure and Recurrent Miscarriage Evaluation
Couples who have experienced repeated IVF failure or recurrent miscarriage may need a deeper evaluation. This may include reviewing embryo quality, uterus health, hormone levels, sperm health, genetic factors, and previous treatment response. Based on the findings, the doctor may suggest a more personalised approach for the next pregnancy attempt.
