Yes. Many causes of female infertility can be treated or managed with appropriate care. Female infertility treatment may include ovulation induction, treatment for PCOS or endometriosis, surgery for selected uterine or pelvic conditions, IUI, IVF or other assisted reproductive options depending on the diagnosis and age. 

Irregular periods can affect fertility when they are linked to irregular or absent ovulation. Conditions such as PCOS, thyroid disorders or hormonal imbalance may contribute. A fertility test for women can help identify whether ovulation is occurring regularly and whether treatment is needed. 

Yes. Many women with PCOS can conceive naturally, especially if ovulation occurs. Others may need treatment to regulate or induce ovulation. Female fertility treatment for PCOS is tailored to age, cycle pattern, weight, other fertility factors and how long pregnancy has been attempted. 

Female fertility generally begins to decline gradually in the early 30s and more noticeably after about age 35, mainly because egg number and quality decrease with age. An ovarian reserve test can provide information about egg quantity, but age remains an important predictor of reproductive potential. 

IVF may be considered when there is blocked or severely damaged fallopian tubes, significantly reduced ovarian reserve, advanced age, severe endometriosis, repeated failure of simpler treatments or other factors that make natural conception or IUI less suitable. The decision should follow a complete fertility evaluation. 

No single female fertility test can predict whether pregnancy will occur. Tests such as AMH, ultrasound, tubal assessment and hormone testing help identify possible causes of infertility and guide treatment planning. Results must be interpreted alongside age, partner factors and overall reproductive history. 

Most fertility investigations cause little or no pain. Blood tests and ultrasound are usually well tolerated, while procedures such as HSG, SSG, hysteroscopy or laparoscopy may involve temporary discomfort or anaesthesia depending on the test.
