From Consultation to Pregnancy
A detailed consultation with a fertility specialist, along with tests to understand reproductive health and recommend the right treatment.
Medicines are given to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, monitored through scans and blood tests.
When the eggs are ready, they are collected through a short and safe procedure under anaesthesia. It usually takes 20–30 minutes.
A sperm sample is collected and combined with the eggs in a specialized lab.
The fertilized eggs grow into embryos over 3–5 days. The healthiest embryo is chosen to improve pregnancy chances.
The selected embryo is gently placed into the uterus through a simple and painless procedure. No hospital stay is required.
A blood test is done after 10–14 days to confirm pregnancy.
Most of the couples conceive in the first IVF cycle, while others may require more than one cycle. The number of cycles depends on age, fertility condition, and embryo quality.
Complete bed rest is not necessary. Patients can resume normal daily activities with some precautions as advised by the fertility specialist.
Yes, IVF is often recommended after failed IUI or other fertility treatments and has higher success rates in such cases.
Yes, IVF treatment can be planned to fit your work schedule. Most women continue their routine work during treatment with minimal adjustments.
Yes, IVF can increase the chances of twins because more than one embryo is sometimes transferred to improve success rates. If multiple embryos implant successfully, it can result in a twin or multiple pregnancy.
Yes. A few insurance providers offer infertility or assisted reproduction add-ons, but coverage varies by insurer, waiting period, age, and medical condition.
