Dr. Shweta Hegde

Shweta Hegde is a professional graduate from Kasturba Medical College Manipal. Shweta Hegde did her master’s in Clinical Embryology and underwent internship programs at the Center of Reproductive Medicine in andrology Munster University Germany, NOVA IVI, and SDM Medical College Dharwad during her early career. Shweta Hegde is skilled in research, cryopreservation, In-vitro fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), Embryo biopsy, and Clinical Research. Sweta Hegde is working at Motherhood Hospital Sarjapur.

Shweta Hegde worked as a Lecturer and Embryologist at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and gained immense knowledge in both research and clinical aspects of assisted reproduction. She has trained more than 300 students in Embryology including certificate courses as well as MSc in Clinical Embryology. Shweta Hegde also worked as a consultant Embryologist at Manipal Fertility, Mangalore, SDM Dharwad, and handled several ICSI, cryopreservation of embryos, gametes, gonadal tissues, embryo transfers, etc. As a part of a dynamic research team, she also has conducted several research projects and has gained publications and awards. Later she worked as Chief Embryologist at Indira IVF Pune and Kolhapur managing more than 100 ICSI, embryo transfer cases a month. Shweta Hegde has also performed more than 200 embryo biopsy cases. She then worked as a Subject matter expert Embryologist for a medical device company SpOvum Technologies, Bangalore, and has helped them with equipment development in the field of assisted reproductive technology, conducting several research experiments.
